Hyperfixations, 2022 -Textile Art

Acrylic paint & cotton embroidery floss on canvas, 12″×12″.

This piece was hand painted and hand stitched. It represents the feeling of hyperfixation, or special interests, experienced by neurodivergents – choatic, manic, wracked with anxiety, but also exciting, energizing, and life-giving. I was 36 before I learned that this was not how neurotypical people experienced life.
